Most brides cry at some point during their wedding. And I’m sure that you will be kissing, kissing, kissing all day long? If you know this and more, then you’ll need the following beauty basic tips to get your through the day looking fresh and beautiful. And make use of your bridesmaids for help with this as well. I mean, you gave them awesome bridesmaid gifts didn’t you?

If you’ve ever been involved in a wedding or even just attended a wedding then you know there are so many possible emergencies that can happen during your very long wedding day. You will read article upon article about what can go wrong and unfortunately, they’re all true. The bride is the most important person at that wedding, but what is interesting is that very few articles are written for her emergencies; from her smearing her lipstick on her face to having her bustle stuck after she goes to the loo. And unfortunately, I’ve seen that last one many times!

One of the most important decisions a bride must make is to assign someone to be her checker. What exactly do I mean by that? Every bride, whether it’s a formal or informal wedding, has to have someone that will keep an eye on you all day and let you know if there is something wrong or if you need a touch-up…whatever. I would suggest it’s not someone in your wedding celebration because they’ll be very involved in the wedding. Select someone that is very observant (and close to you) and is sitting fairly close to the dais table so they can see you at all times. But, please, from experience, do not choose someone that will want to bother you each second because she wants the attention. That will completely ruin your day worse than a stuck bustle. And don’t select someone who’s going to have one too many and forget you even exist. This person is very, very important so be careful in your choice. And if you get really nervous, munch on a few of those delicious edible wedding favors. Ssshhh…no one will know!

Another very important recommendations is to be sure that whether you apply your own make-up or if you have a make-up artist apply it for you, that you/they use waterproof make-up. You probably will cry at some point during the day. You don’t want to have to reapply your eye and face make-up all day long. This will save you tremendously. Do the same with long-lasting lipstick. Apply it at the beginning of the day (immediately right before the ceremony) and then touch-up as needed. Before buying, just make sure it states all day lip color or something to that affect.

Lastly, the most important beauty tip is to do a dry run with make-up and hair. Many women do not think this is necessary and don’t want to spend the time or money to do it. If you’re doing both of those yourself or having a friend do it, then it will be simple. If you’re having a professional do your hair and make-up, then speak to them and see if they will do this. Normally, this is included in the price. Take the time. You’ll thank me for it.

Most of all, rest! You have everything under control. Even your discount wedding favors came in and they’re awesome! And never forget, stress causes dark circles and bags under your eyes. And by the way, those cold cucumber slices put on those eye bags, really does work.
